One of the main criteria when house searching, we prefer not to see the kitchen when we first enter. We don't really like the idea of open concept. The kitchen was just renovated by the previous owner and is in great condition. It is not a huge size but it has everything we need. We prefer fully covered cabinets as it makes the kitchen looks bigger. We did minor changes. We changed up the green backsplash with a peel & stick wallpaper. Coming to almost 6yrs but pretty much holding up great. Other changes involve the lightings and all of the kitchen appliances. For now, we are really contented with our kitchen ❤. 
Our modular kitchen but I called it our U-shape kitchen. On the left side of the kitchen is where the washing machine and automated laundry system is. Only the downside, we wish we could have a service yard so that we could have a separate laundry area. The bonus part of the kitchen is we are able to have a seating area where we usually sits for breakfast. 
Recently, we upgrade some of our appliances due to wear and tear. We mix and match our appliances with our kitchen to make it look more cohesive. 
Kitchen view from another angle. We will keep all unused appliances to keep the countertop clean. We prefer drawers as it gives more storage area. 
Overhead dishrack is a controversial topic. Honestly we love ours as it is placed within our reach and helps to keep countertop mess free.
