Our home is a 1,421 sqft, 3-bedroom apartment in a 54-year old development in the Central Area. Aside from the living room, kitchen, and master bedroom, there is a home office, a guest bedroom and a yard area. We kept the floor plan intact as the previous owner’s layout suited our needs as well. We particularly loved the kitchen island and have found it very useful to have both dry and wet kitchen areas! The kitchen leads to the dining area, where we place our live edge wood table set. We've always loved the look of live edge and were thrilled to find a suitable set at Grey & Sanders! The major overhauls were in the home office, living room and master bathroom - all built-ins were removed and new carpentry installed. In the case of the home office, we left it bare and used movable furniture instead. We also have an empty room as we purchased a 3br to future-proof our home but haven’t gotten around to furnishing it! It was initially designated as a guest room but we might do something more fun, like install a home gym! Let us know if you have any cool ideas ☺️ A priority for the renovation was to keep things functional, minimise built ins, and maximise natural light from the floor to ceiling windows in the living room. We picked a Scandinavian-inspired colour palette of wood, light grey, white and accents of black to achieve an airy and calming aesthetic. Thanks for reading and we hope you enjoyed our home as much as we do!
