Hello there! We moved into our new home just a month ago, and honestly, we’re still very much in the midst of settling in. This is our 5-room BTO, built using the Prefabricated Prefinished Volumetric Construction (PPVC) method—so no Optional Component Scheme (OCS) here!

Here’s a look at our 5-room floor plan. We decided to keep the original layout—no hacking, no built-in study.

Let’s start at the entrance. We added a parcel drop box, which has honestly been a lifesaver—secure, convenient, and perfect for our online shopping habits. The shoe rack fits snugly between the gate and main door—great for those lazy days when the shoes never quite make it into the cupboard. And of course, our digital lock means no more fumbling for keys. Totally essential.

Our open-concept living and dining area is designed for seamless flow and effortless hosting. Guests can easily transition between the spaces, maintaining a sense of spaciousness. One entire wall is lined with expansive cabinetry that keeps everything tucked away, giving the space a calm, clutter-free vibe.

Next to the dry pantry, we placed our side-by-side fridge in the living area rather than squeezing it into the kitchen. This decision opened up the kitchen.

I wanted a functional workspace without sacrificing the living area, so we added a settee with a portable, foldable table on wheels. It keeps everything flexible and tidy.

The kitchen itself is a calm, cozy corner. We went with light sage green bottom cabinets paired with clean white countertops. Above, light grey cabinets add a quiet contrast. An open shelf brings personality and keeps essentials within easy reach, making the kitchen feel brighter and more inviting. The handleless cabinet design keeps everything looking sleek and fuss-free.

What was supposed to be my dream vanity corner turned into a bit of a #renofail—story for another day! In the master bedroom, we struggled to fit a large wardrobe. We had to choose between keeping the air-con functional or having more storage… so we chose to keep the cool air flowing and settled for a smaller wardrobe. The floor plan kind of dictated it anyway.

The bedroom setup is super minimal: just a wooden bed, a mattress, and a side table. Calm, simple, and clutter-free—just how we like it.

We didn’t do much in the bathrooms apart from adding a glass shower screen and installing a toilet vanity from Taobao—budget-friendly and surprisingly nice!

For the kids’ room, we opted for loose furniture so we can easily switch things up as they grow. Right now, the mattress is on the floor—keeping things safe and flexible.

The second bedroom is still a blank canvas. We’re torn between turning it into a guest room for visiting family or a dedicated study for work and hobbies. What would you do with this space? We’re still slowly moving in and making tweaks all around the house. It’s a work in progress—but one we’re loving every step of the way. Stay tuned for more updates!
