  • Transforming Our Bedroom from Minimal to Cosy
Our bedroom has gone through quite a transformation over the 2 years since we moved in and we feel like it’s finally “finished”. Let’s take a journey through the improvements we’ve made over the years!
  • Transforming Our Bedroom from Minimal to Cosy
This was our starting point, no bedside tables, no headboard and old sheets we brought over from our family’s house.

About 1 year in, we bought bedside tables, invested in better sheets and styled with throw blankets. However it was still quite a sparse look.

We also managed to source a headboard pillow from Taobao! It is essentially a large firm cushion with sticky velcro on the back so you can secure it to the wall directly. However we just rest it on the bed itself so we can reposition/remove it easily.

A close up on the texture of the headboard cushion! As it is a cushion, it is very comfortable to lean on and we don’t have to worry about any hard corners. The boucle-esque texture also adds visual softness to our bedroom and gives it a cosier vibe.

Another space we optimised was our bedside tables. A 3-in-1 wireless charging dock here helps to reduce the number of wires required, and the trinket dish keeps the space neat.

Another big upgrade was getting a sideboard and a projector! We can now have cosy gaming/movie sessions in bed. We have a wireless HDMI transmitter setup, so we don’t need to run a wire from the projector on the bedside table, all the way to our gaming consoles on the sideboard.

The sideboard also serves as much needed flexible storage space. We also placed a colourful vase here, usually filled with either Lego flowers or fresh flowers, to add a pop of colour. That sums up our current bedroom space! What additions are you planning on adding to your bedroom?
