    Hello everyone. Welcome to our humble home. We are a family of 5 with 2 cats and have moved into our home since August 2024. We are the second owner. So watch this space to see how we transform a 30 year old renovation to create a cosy and functional space for our family.

    Our home is a 127m² 5I resale HDB flat in the east, with 4 physical bedrooms. 4 physical bedrooms are our non-negotiable when choosing our home, as we want each of our children to have their own personal space.

    Here is a before picture of the balcony and living room. We spent about $70,000 in renovations to make this space our home.

    We levelled up what used to be a balcony to create more space for the living area. Learning from past experience of our past home, we did not opt for any built-ins so that we have the flexibility to shift or change the furniture around in time to come.

    And here is how the kitchen looks like now. We chose warm wood tones and nude laminates for the kitchen carpentry, complimenting it with a white marble like sintered stone in matte finish. A central island serves as both a workspace and a decorative focal point. We will share more of the different spaces in upcoming posts. So do stay tuned!
