Welcome to my kitchen! As we wanted a bigger kitchen area, we decided to hack away the wall separating the kitchen from the living room, creating a open concept kitchen. We also wanted to extend the kitchen counter top to create an island, however decided not to and totally didn't regard our decision. With a bigger exposed area, the house looks so much more spacious! I really love this beforeafter comparison. From empty to livable space. As the living room is big, we can explore various ways to decorate it. During festive seasons like for example, Christmas! We can easily shift the bandy mirror elsewhere and put a Christmas tree in its place! The marble gum on the floor tiles makes it more reflective giving the whole room a brighter and more luxurious feel. This is suggested study area but to us, it is more of the chill area. As we have another study room, we decided to it leave this space empty as we have some future plans. (Maybe a playpen?) For now, this area will be an extension of the dining room when we host more guests! Did you notice the entry to the other rooms had a curved wall? This is because we didn't want the house to be too "squarish" and decided to incorporate some smooth elements into the design! What is the first thing we want guests to see when entering our home? Our crystals collections! We had some carpentry done at the entryway and included full height display shelves. Additionally, we also installed LED lights to bring focus to these areas. If you realized, the end of the carpentry is curved as well. This actually allows more smooth flow into the living area.
