Oh my, its been a while. This time let me share how we did our common and master bedroom toilet. Here is the common toilet, which is used by the kids and whenever we have guests over. We chose light coloured tiles, and oh boy look how bright and airy it looks. We did not conceal the pipes, to prevent the hassle of having to hack it in future should a leakage occurs. Instead we painted it white to match the aesthetic. We also added a glass partition to separate the shower area from sink. 
We chose a wall hung sink instead of built in cabinet. This is to minimise future headaches should water damage occurs. 
We chose darker colour pallete for the master bathroom for a cosy feel. Same thing, no concealed piping instead we chose to paint it black to match the dark tones. 
We opted for Chrome fixtures for ease of maintenance.
