One thing we chose not to do was hack down the walls (especially those small service yard windows). Instead, we worked around it by adding carpentry to neatly cover up the piping. To keep costs down, we left the interior of the cabinet bare since we wouldn’t be opening it often anyway — and it turned out to be the perfect hidden storage spot for our cleaning essentials like mops, floor scraper, and flat mop. Super practical and fuss-free!
For the “entrance” into the service yard area, we also made a small but impactful tweak — we asked our ID to create a mini slope. This not only prevents us from tripping but also makes it so much easier for our robot vacuum to move in and out seamlessly.
Sometimes it’s these little thoughtful decisions that make everyday living so much smoother. No regrets at all!
