Welcome to our 4-room BTO abode with a quirky Scandinavian twist. We were drawn to the warmth of wood and the quiet calm it brings to our everyday lives. Soft neutrals set the stage, while tiny pops of colour peek out from every nook and cranny, adding a playful touch. It’s these little personal details that make our home unmistakably ours. 
Plush couch, cloud-soft cushions, and gentle curves - just the excuse to lounge a little longer. We kept the rest of the space simple and uncluttered so the TV wall and niche could remain the focal point of our living room. 
We built a floor-to-ceiling L-shaped carpentry feature to conceal the storeroom door and DB box, while doubling up as extra storage, including a space for our shoes. Since a full-height L-shaped unit could’ve looked a little bulky, we added a curved corner to soften the overall look, which made it feel a little lighter and more inviting. One decision we went back and forth on was the laminate. With so many wood elements throughout our home, we wondered if the carpentry should be white instead. In the end, we took the leap and went with a full wood laminate, and honestly, we have zero regrets. It really brings out the Scandinavian character of our home, setting the tone from the moment we walk through the door. 
Our dining nook is where we linger over good bites and slow sips, with lo-fi tunes on repeat. Tucked between our open kitchen and pantry, the open layout keeps everything connected, making it easy to cook, chat, and gather whenever we host. 
Light woods, soft tones, and clean lines - our recipe for a kitchen that’s equal parts function and calm. We added an island to give ourselves a little more prep space whenever we’re cooking up a meal. You can’t see it from here, but there are stools hidden under the island. Hosting friends? Just pull them out and you’ve got extra seats. Most days though you’ll find us perched here with a drink in hand, with the pantry right beside us for our favourite pick-me-ups. 
Layered with eclectic finds, the pantry is where we reach for our morning pick-me-ups and wind down with a nightcap at the end of the day. 
Our guest bathroom features an earthy neutral palette, with mixed subway tiles creating a calm reset from the day. An oddly shaped mirror brings a touch of quirkiness to the space. 
Slow mornings and restful nights. Away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, our bedroom is our peaceful sanctuary. Warmer tones, soft textures, and gentle lighting wrap the space in a cosy calm - our quiet space to snooze, unwind, and recharge. 
A clean and understated look, with a splash of green to brighten up our master bathroom. When we first started planning our home, we weren’t sure if having so many wood elements would make the space feel too woody or monotonous. But by layering in quirky, playful décor, using curves and wooden slats, and adding splashes of colour throughout, everything came together in a way that feels warm, cosy, and truly like home.
