Our House Tour: Inside our warm and cosy 5-room BTO

Welcome to our home - a space that we affectionately call 'our ebb and flow'. Inspired by wabi sabi and soft minimalism interiors, you'll be greeted with warm hues, organic textures and natural accent pieces. 
This was our original floor plan - the blank canvas that we were oh-so-excited to work on! 
We had a few non-negotiables from the get-go. First up, an odd shaped window bay settee to double up as a seating area for days when we invite our family and friends over. We had only planned for a 2.4m sofa so having a settee was definitely a good addition. We had also planned for a wet and dry kitchen so that cleaning could be more manageable. 
Our DIY limewashed TV feature wall acts as a backdrop that frames our living room. It took us about half a day to complete this wall but we would definitely do it again in a heartbeat. If you'd like to add more depth to your walls, we'd strongly encourage you to consider limewashing your walls! 
As you enter our house, you will also be greeted by our entryway niche. We furnished it with keepsakes that we had collected from our past travels. 
The view that we're greeted with whenever we come out from our bedrooms, and it's arguably one of our favourite sights! 
Moving on to our dining area, it overlooks our living area so we get to indulge in our food and shows at the same time. Anyone guilty of this too? 
Our little pantry is tucked neatly away from sight but nestled within these drawers. We make it our little project to switch up the stash of snacks weekly, and we both get unnecessarily competitive to see who buys the tastier snacks. 
We also prepare our drinks at this little nook with our Wells dispenser, now an indispensable (pun intended) as we get to have water at different temperatures with just a single tap. Can't quite imagine life without a water dispenser now. 
We're mighty pleased that we did not plan for open shelvings in our kitchen as it's function over form for us! How about you?
