Our next favorite section of the house has got to be our bedroom! Cue afternoon naps and late night conversations 🥱😴 We have kept the bedroom minimal and simple as it is meant to be our resting space. As our room is really simple with just a built in wardrobe and vanity table, we opted for a storage bed to double up as additional space to keep bedsheets and blankets! ps; we know ceiling fans are often frowned upon in fengshui but we went ahead with it as it worked better in cooling the room compared to a standing fan! to hack this fengshui advice, we kept the fan as close to the edge of the bed as much as possible to avoid having it directly above our heads! 💡

This was how our master bedroom looked before the furniture came! We decided to keep the BTO vinyls as we found that they were of decent quality and was in line with our overall theme ☺️ In fact, we saved quite a-bit on flooring as our BTO was part of the optional component scheme & opting in meant we could save on vinyl flooring!

A closer look at our side table! This was one of our favorite taobao buys as it fit nicely between the wardrobe and the bed! It came assembled and had the best texture! Super useful for storing items!

We decided to opt for a L shaped corner built in wardrobe to maximize the space in the bedroom as much as possible! There is an empty niche as well which we requested for so that we could hang jackets or clothing that are lightly worn instead of having clothes on “the chair” 🪑 To keep the lighting in the room consistent, we opted for circular pendant lights to match with Sol Luminaire’s Boba! 🧋

We have a little display corner in our little niche area. 👨🏻 uses this corner to place some of his accessories and we got a little ring holder from KR to add character to the space.

The left side features a little vanity corner where 👩🏻 uses to do her makeup and skincare. Due to limited space of the drawer, most of the items have to be placed on the table but she made do with organizers. Instead of a wall hung mirror, we opted for a standing mirror as we preferred the look of it. 🪞

If you recall in our earlier Home Tour post - we shared about hacking half a wall to build a bifold door for easy access to our study~ This is one of our favorite features as it not only enlarges the space we have in the bedroom. One of the main reasons for doing this is because we spend most of our time in our study room - either working, using the PC or gaming, this not only allows easy access without walking a big round but also enables us to spend time with each other in the same space whilst doing different things! (eg; 👩🏻 chilling in bed and 👨🏻 gaming)

Last but not least, we love our day and blackout curtains! Even our catto agrees~ 😆 We hope you enjoyed this little sharing of our master bedroom! It may be the most simple of designs but it is definitely a good balance of aesthetic and function for the both of us! 😇
