If Our Bathrooms Could Talk… 🛁

Welcome to our latest post on bathroom tiles! ✨ One home, two bathrooms, and two different stories to tell. While both bathrooms share the same overall design direction, we wanted each space to have its own personality, colour palette and little details. One of the most enjoyable parts of planning our home was choosing the tiles, especially for the bathrooms. We wanted them to complement the rest of our home and feel cohesive, but didn’t want both spaces to look exactly the same. So, we played around with different colours, textures, patterns and tile formats to give each bathroom its own character, while keeping the overall look simple, timeless and consistent with our home. 
For the master bathroom, we chose a warm-toned stone-look tile in a larger 600 × 600mm format. We liked the bigger pieces as they give the space a cleaner, more seamless look with fewer grout lines. The earthy tone also brings warmth into the bathroom, while the subtle texture adds just enough depth without making the space feel too busy. We paired it with the Dekton Aeris piece and matched it with warm lighting, cream shelves and bathroom accessories, keeping the overall look soft and cosy. 
The gun metal fittings add a subtle contrast and tie the space together without feeling too harsh. 
Before choosing the actual finishes, we put together a material mood board to see how everything would come together and help us visualise the overall look before turning it into reality. ✨ If you’re planning your own renovation, we’d definitely suggest doing the same — it makes it so much easier to see how all the colours, textures and materials work together before making the final decisions. 
For the Common Bathroom, we went with a soft green theme, which was also chosen with Feng Shui considerations in mind. The subway green wall tiles bring a fresh touch to the space, paired with darker grey tiles in the shower area for a little contrast. It feels slightly more playful compared to the master bathroom, while still fitting nicely with the rest of our home. 
We kept the fittings in gunmetal as well, from the shower set to the water tap, which adds a slightly deeper tone. We also chose the accessories to complement the green and grey palette, so the overall look feels cohesive without being too matchy. 
And that’s a little look at how we put together the common bathroom, from the initial mood board to the final finishes and little details. ✨
