After our flat reached its Minimum Occupation Period (MOP), we had long decided that we wanted to sell this unit to capitalize on its value. We never intended to opt for a 5-room flat; to us, a 4-room resale was already sufficient. Thus, we began actively seeking out 4-room resale flats. The market price for 4-room resale flats in Tampines is remarkably high, but we were pleasantly surprised to discover a 5-room flat in Simei priced similarly to a 4-room flat in Tampines. What a steal! Without hesitation, we negotiated and seized the opportunity! Below, I'm sharing my vision for my house, inspired by ideas I collected from my Instagram feed. I'll also show how it actually turned out. Since we hired a direct contractor, we found ourselves closely monitoring the progress, which was more involved compared to hiring an ID. Our contractor did the curve wall for our TV feature wall BUT slightly thinner. I wanted to have a pillar like this and shoerack behind! This layout looks pretty much like ours! And this sofa is so loved!! This bar table just before our kitchen. Or part of the kitchen. Ours! I got this photo from Google. Showed it to my contractor and he did the exact same!!! Original photo of this house when we came for viewing. The original living room. Original kitchen area. Original view. As soon as we stepped into the house, we knew it was the one for us. Situated on a low floor, it offers a serene view of lush greenery and a delightful airy ambiance. Without hesitation, we quickly sealed the deal to purchase this house. It was our 10th house viewing, but this one stole our hearts instantly.
