FAQs! How and Why?

Which ID do I go for? How do I select which ID is the best for me? These are the commonly asked questions when it comes to ID hunting. Personally, my ID need to fulfil at least these 3 criteria, respectful to our decision, patient and is reachable at all times. For us, we went to various showrooms, provided the floor plan and seek out IDs 1 year before we even got the keys. Most of the IDs are impatient as there is still a long waiting time to key collection. This make our experience quite unenjoyable :( We finally settled down with an ID that not only take in our ideas, he even drew them out using a 3D software for us to visualize (unlike others who just uses pencils and draw over our floorplan). From our draft, ideas, and design, he managed to sketched it all up and even provided the 3D rendering which was just what we wanted. He is so committed to us that he even went JB to hunt for lights with us! The after services that he provided was top-notch (e.g. when we need adjustment of the cabinet, his contractor came down within a week to fix it for us). Another commonly asked question. What type of paint do I use? Answer is Lime wash paint! Why? It is because lime wash paint have their own personality, depending on the type of strokes the painter uses. For us, this give us a sense of belonging as we did the painting ourselves. And another reason is that this paint actually helps to keep the house cooler by reflecting sunlight and its breathable nature helps regulate temperature and moisture. How to lime wash paint yourselves? It is fairly simple as we only need to continuously paint one pattern over multiple areas starting from one corner to the end. Tips* do not start at both corners to end in the middle as the flow will be disrupted! Can we have a bathtub in a HDB? Answer is why not! We purchase our bathtub from HERA and even customized the vanity cabinets for both of the toilets. Which bathtub to choose from? Well there are various sizes, depending on the need and size of your the toilet. We bought the 1.7m long, standalone and it fits perfectly from wall to wall, even having some space allowance. Delivery was simple and installation was done by our contractor. Of course the toilet bowl need to be removed first before the bathtub can enter the toilet. Once the bathtub is in, the toilet bowl can be fitted back and the vanity cabinet can be installed. In future, if we ever want to dispose the bathtub, the standalone choice makes disposal and cleaning up much much easier!
