This post on comparing the various kitchen backsplash options and sharing our choice. 
Comparison generated by ChatGPT 😝 Sintered glass is the most aesthetic, but it is costly. Tiles are affordable and look nice, but come with grout lines. We didn’t particularly like the glass aesthetic as we feel it doesn’t blend well with our home’s muted colour palette. 
Our choice is fiberglass wall panels; the last option in the chart. We chose fiberglass wall panels from a local vendor, Admira, as we saw this used in an ID’s project as well as in a friend’s home. For its lower price range, we felt it offers a good balance of aesthetics and functionality, with no grout lines like tiles and easy maintenance. 
That’s said, it’s not necessarily the best option. It is relatively soft and can be easily damaged if not handled carefully during installation. In our case, our contractor actually cracked the edge, and it couldn’t be restored. Based on online sources, it also appears to be less durable than other options. Still, we’ve used it for about a year now and so far it has been fine. There’s no perfect backsplash material. Each option comes with its own trade-offs between cost, aesthetics, and durability. Ultimately, the choice depends on what you prioritise in your kitchen - longevity, budget, or a seamless look.
