This antique typewriter was gifted by my maternal grandfather to my mum when she first started working, and it remained a cherished keepsake even after sitting unused for several decades.
I eventually found a professional typewriter enthusiast who carefully restored it—repairing the mechanisms, replacing the ink ribbon, and giving it a fresh coat of paint in my favourite baby pink.
Today, it sits proudly in our entryway, ready to welcome guests and serve as a little message station where they can leave behind their thoughts and memories. ❤️
This vanity table is a special piece, carrying memories from two generations. The base was originally part of a vintage sewing machine set gifted by my maternal grandfather to my mum as a wedding present.
I had the sewing machine professionally removed (you’ll see it in the next photo) and had the table base restored, and repainted in my favourite baby pink. To complete the transformation, I added a custom laser-cut marble tabletop repurposed from a marble coffee table that was a much-loved piece in my childhood home. Today, it serves as a functional vanity table where I do my makeup and hairstyling every day. ❤️
