Welcome to our home! This is where we spend time relaxing after a long day and hosting guests. One of my favourite parts of the home is this arched feature wall where we display some of our favourite decor pieces. Can you tell that I love arches? I think it helps to soften out the space! For the entryway, we were inspired by beautiful mudroom concepts in Western homes, so we created our own version of the mudroom with dark laminated shoe cabinet and a bench for us to wear shoes. The moment I saw these checkered tiles, I knew that I had to use it for our entryway and there was no convincing me otherwise. The entryway into the living room space. When designing the home, we wanted the playroom to be incorporated as part of the common areas of the house that we spend a lot of time in, such as the living and dining space, because it will be easier to watch over our kid while he plays. We didn't want to go with any built-ins and wanted to keep the space flexible, so it can grow with our kid. How cute is this little teepee that is a reading/chill out corner? Baskets are super useful to keep the mess away! This is another space that we spend alot of time in. We cook almost everyday, so we needed the space to be highly functional and practical. This is one of my favourite spaces in the home! We spend alot of time hear around the dry kitchen island - from having our breakfast, to entertaining guests. After a long day of work, this is our sanctuary to unwind. Adding a little foliage makes the space more cosy. This is where we do our final outfit checks before we head out! Love these cute decor pieces on the console. They are so pretty to look at. This is the heart of the home and where we spend most of our time. For our dining table we went with a simple oak table. Love how the light shines through the window and into our dining area.
