Hello everyone! Welcome to our home :) This is a 5-room BTO flat in Punggol Northshore. The theme for our house is Japandi as we love warm zen vibes, wood and neutrals. We love curves as well so decided to have an arch sette, super convenient for putting on shoes.

Besides concealing bomb shelter at the entryway, we decided to extend the carpentry so we have additional storage in our living room. Less clutter right?

To save on cost, we decided to get off-the-shelf TV console. We also incorporated some blacks to balance with the wood in the space. Many of the sofas these days are low back to create an open space, but we will not sacrifice comfort for aesthetics! 😂

Right behind our sofa, we have our 1.8m long table with a customised width so we still have a comfortable walking space around it.

Close to the dining table, we have our kitchen island and coffee corner. This is our favourite part of the house as we use it often for food preparations and have simpler meals like breakfast.

With the island spanning 1.8m, it is super conducive for baking and here’s featuring our 14-years-old Kitchenaid Stand Mixer.

We also have an extra countertop space beside the oven useful for putting additional appliances.

For our master bedroom, the only carpentry we have is the built-in wardrobe. We love the combination of warm wood and salt laminate.

Similar to most bedrooms, a useful feature will be to have light and switches above the beside tables. Definitely invest in a 2-way switch if you have the budget :)

Finally, we left our toilets relatively untouched. The walls you see here are the existing HDB tiles but we do try to get nicer accessories to pair with the tiles. That’s it. Hope you enjoy a mini tour of our house and do look forward to more in-depth posts to come.
