Here's our living room where we have zero built in as we wanted the flexibility of moving/exchanging the furniture around when the needs arise. So basically the husband assembled everything that needs to be assembled 😅 
As we are that clumsy, getting a leather sofa was the only way to go and also because we are lazy to have to be constantly deep cleaning a fabric sofa. With the Jonathan Leather Sofa with Ottoman that we have gotten from Castlery, we just have to give it a good wipe with leather conditioner once in a while. 
When we first moved in, the living room was without much plants. But... ever since we have gotten one, the collection starts to grow and grow, up till today; making the space ever changing as the plants grow. 
Additionally, we also have a staghorn collection displayed within the living room along with the husband's collection of LEGO figurines which we have DIY them into frames and frames... All in all, the living room is basically a display of our hobbies and collections along the way. 😄 P.S. there are even shrimp and fish tanks now near the dinning area
