Welcome to the kitchen & dry pantry area of our home! The kitchen was initially a compact and squarish area with not much countertop space. We decided to extend the cabinetry out into the dining space to span the entire dining area window, and installed an island to increase the amount of countertop and gathering spaces in the house. Our dry pantry houses our Wells water dispenser and tea station. We love to take in the peaceful view outside while sipping on our morning tea. We love wine and hosting, so a wine chiller is a must for us! If you are thinking of getting one, and deciding between 2 sizes, always get the bigger one! When we host bigger groups of people, this space acts as a buffet line too! Our green onyx island top is the centerpiece of our home. People love to gather around this space. Like the living room, our kitchen also features mid tone wood paired with chrome elements. We got the chopping boards and automatic grinders as house warming gifts and we loved them! The Joseph Joseph chopping boards allow us to use different boards when cutting different types of food and the automatic grinders save us from having an arm workout whenever we need pepper or salt. We love coffee! Having a pour over coffee station next to our induction hob makes it easy to get water to the perfect brewing temperature. Our ID initially recommended to conceal the pipes above but we decided against it and it matched perfectly with our corner fan and hood. We opted for fluted panels here to add some visual interest and openness to the space, which appears quite dark due to low sunlight and our choice of midtone wood laminate. Our choice of sink organization is this Joseph and Joseph brushed metal holder that perfectly houses all our sink essentials The fridge holds our little magnet collection from our travels around the world.
