This cork heat mat is one of those items you don’t think much about — until you actually use it. Protects the countertop, blends in effortlessly, and doesn’t scream “IKEA purchase.” Simple, functional, and very much part of everyday cooking life. 
Extra containers are never “extra.” Leftovers, snacks, sauces, meal prep, random treats — somehow they’re always all in use. Microwave-safe, stackable, and fuss-free. One of those purchases that quietly earns its keep every single week. 
Every home has that moment: “I swear I bought zip lock bags already?” From freezing food to organising small items, these always run out faster than expected. Not exciting — but absolutely essential. 
I’ll admit it — the packaging got me. Bright, fun, very IKEA-coded. But taste-wise… not my favourite at all. Either too salty or too strong. First time trying, probably last time too. Rating: 1.5 / 5 for me. 
I really wanted to like them because IKEA food usually never disappoints. But these chips? Still a no for me. Nice to try once, but definitely not going into my repeat-buy list.

Even though the snacks didn’t work out, IKEA food still wins. Plant balls over meatballs for me — always. Some things stay comforting and familiar, no matter how many times we visit. A home isn’t built only with big furniture pieces. It’s built with these small, everyday items — the ones we reach for without thinking. IKEA trips may look the same each time, but somehow, every visit still adds a little more comfort to home.
