cliche but, trust ๐ญ the ๐ญ process ๐ญ
the damaged walls, the plastering over lighting/socket points and botched paint marks gave me class A anxiety...... so we try to note down what needs fixing, track whether it's been rectified before raising them up. thankfully, they're all not too late ๐ฎโ๐จ
choose your battles
as a paying client, would you want to also do your ID's job? trust the pros! you have way too much on your plate. spend time deciding on the best appliances and furnitures for your home.
if you think youโre communicating well, you can communicate better
the reality is that things will get lost in translation. i've come to realise that and it's about minimising those mistakes. with that mindset reframed, i get less anxious about not having control, but to just keep communicating.
stay present and practise gratitude
itโs easy for the whole process to justโฆ pass by.
for us, we made it a point to slow down and be intentional โ praying over the renovation, the process, and even the people working on our home. it helped us stay grounded and reminded us that this is something to be thankful for, not just something to get through.
hmm thatโs all we have for now! weโre sure thereโll be more lessons once we start living in the space ๐ thanks for following along our journey thus far hehe
