Space is quite limited here, so we really tried to plan everything to be as functional as possible without making it feel cluttered.
We have got ourselves an automated laundry rack with the drying function, thankfully there is drying function because we do not open our service yard windows because due to privacy reasons.
We removed the original BTO bifold door because we wanted to place our Dreame beside the washing machine. Since the robot requires inlet and outlet piping, it made more sense to keep everything that needs water access close to the same point instead of extending the pipes across. We also chose a model that can climb over the small service yard step and added a dedicated switch that just nice doubles up as a cover for the unsightly floor trap below haha.
We kept the original BTO tiles in the kitchen and service yard. If you plan to remove the BTO bifold door, do note that the wall areas could be damaged, so make sure to have extra tiles ready. Many neighbours are selling theirs at low prices or giving them away, do check out the BTO telegram group chat if there is!
Opposite the washing machine, we have our handheld wet Dreame vacuum and we added extra double sockets just in case we ever need more than one switch here in the future. We also got this super handy laundry basket that lets us separate our undergarments, socks and clothes. It can be pushed easily to the washing machine when we are unloading, which makes things a lot more convenient. We also keep our clothes pegs stored like this for easy access.
We just have to say how useful the handheld Dreame vacuum is. We actually got it for free from the IT fair when we bought the robot and it has been super helpful for quick cleanups, especially when we do not want to run the robot vacuum. The robot does have some limitations and cannot reach tighter corners or gaps very well, so we still sweep hair and dirt out first for it to clean.
We also have a 1.7m standing clothes rack for clothes we have worn just once but want to wear again and we can hang our apron here too! Underneath, we keep a few collapsible pails which save space and are perfect for washing newly bought clothes in case the colours run. Always helpful to have some pails at home too!
