Greetings from our “fort” up North! 🏰 🔑 points — Est. July ‘24 Occupants: 👫🏽🐈‍⬛🐈 Theme: Mid-Century Modern, Eclectic ID/Reno credits: @_j2draws on IG 👩🏻‍🎨 Reno cost: 💸 $60k+/- (including electrical work💡)
The blueprints 🫆 — We were trying to save cost, so the layout pretty much stayed the same. However, we did: 🧱 Hack away built-ins, as well as the service yard doors/wall 🧱 Redo both bathrooms and the kitchen 🧱 Overlay tiles with wooden laminate flooring 🧱 Include anti-mould for the ceiling while repainting the entire house 🧱 Replace the doors and install blinds for all rooms; with the exception of the living
Starting with the entrance to our home. Syaf has always loved the signs that you see outside of cafés; so instead of the conventional # plaque, she made her own # sign! Chonky was not a paid actor. 🐈‍⬛
This is our entryway. As you scroll through, you’ll see plenty of colourful prints all over the house — making use of the walls gives us unlimited space to decorate!
Our living room has got to be our favourite space of all; this is where we have our meals while we watch 📺 (even though there’s a dining room for that), have our friends over to chill with our modular sofa (that caters to an extra 2 pax when opened up), and unwind after a long day’s work!
Prolly the 3rd configuration of the living room ever since moving in; Syaf gets bored easily and would often rearrange the furniture in the living room. 🤷🏻‍♀️
We knew we had to have shelves for our (Syaf’s, mostly) trinkets and collection of art/POPMART toys! 🤭
Our dining room. We’ve only ever used this space when we have guests over during special events. 😅
We have always loved the idea of an opened-concept kitchen. We opted for grey laminate cabinets with sintered stone counter top/backsplash and ivory appliances to neutralise the bright, bold hues all around.
Nabil smokes… hence the bar counter. Need I say more? 😎
As much as it is an actual chore, we gotta make our laundry space look cute still. 🎀🧺
