A little insight to one of our favourite features of the house - the lighting! It’s not just about visibility, it’s about setting the mood and creating an atmosphere that reflects how we are feeling or what we’re doing. We love how the Apple HomeKit enhances our lighting game with the pre-set scenes. 
We are often intrigued by how lighting can create a different mood in our home. While we lean towards the warm lighting every evening, we place a lot of emphasis on natural light in the day and ensured that was consistent throughout the house. 
When we chose the lights for our home, we made sure that it had the options for Warm / Cool / White so we can play around depending on the occasion. 
Different scenes are used for different times of the day or different activities. Brighter lights to focus, dimmer and warmer lights to host, the smart bulbs serves its purpose. 
Adding LED strips along the backsplash not only adds to the beauty, it lights up the countertop during cooking and cleaning. Especially when we are more OCD about cleaning up the splashes! 
We love how these ambient lighting throughout the entire house is sufficient on days we decide not to switch on the main lights. These small things really do make a great difference!
