We have a pretty unconventional layout for the kids’ room so figuring out where everything should go wasn’t easy. Instead of rushing into decisions, we decided to make it fun. 
We cut out furniture pieces from cardboard (true to scale) and turned our floor plan into a little play session. The kids coloured each piece and helped us move them around to see what worked best. 
It became an unexpected family activity, and honestly, it helped us visualise the space so much better. Sometimes good ideas come from just playing around and keeping things lighthearted.
