It’s obvious that mirrors makes the space looks bigger but do you also know it make the space brighter by reflecting light from the window?
We gotten quotes ranging from $800 to $1200 for this large mirrors by carpenters and mirror makers. So when we saw IKEA had this mirror on sale, we tried superimposing the mirror and here’s how it looks like.
With the help of Canva app, we manage to photoshop the mirrors and did an “augmented render” of the mirrors over our sofa.
It looks a little weird and the curved end looks like a ferry more than windows 😅
We bite the bullet, trust our gut and bought 2 of the discounted mirrors. Gotten handyman Mr. Bao Ga Liao (thats the company name) to help us install.
Total damage: $300 for mirrors and labour.
I got comments that the mirror looks like “BMW grills” “Cruise window” but no one really said it looks European 😅
but hey, u never try u never know. We felt it’s 90% accurate render.
Do u guys us apps like this or AI to help u visualize?
Overall, feeling happy that the home is brighter, more spacious and thou maybe a bit weird. But we save maybe $1000 if we went with the carpenters and mirror makers.
