🧼 How much we spent on our bathroom reno (+ regrets & wins)
When we started planning our reno, we didn’t set aside a fixed budget just for the bathroom — we budgeted S$50k for the whole house.
This means the bathroom has to be smartly planned — just functional, clean, and hopefully timeless (we tried).
Here’s how we managed the cost:
✅ We saved on
Tiles & fittings: Compared multiple vendors, bought during promos. Got our fittings from @hoekeehardwaresg and big thanks to @taobao.singapore for value for money items
Sink & taps: Went for value-for-money options
Settled for @grohesingapore due to their sleek designs
🚿 We (mildly) splurged on
The rainshower — because B said “non-negotiable” 😅
🛠 What we ABIT regret
Pure white quartz top — stains too easily
Concealed drain — looks pretty but traps hair + hard to clean
Tap was bought before checking with our contractor … and now it’s awkwardly close to the mirror
💡 Best decision?
Asking for a deeper floor slope. Water flows out faster = toilet dries quicker = less mopping. 10/10 would do again.
🧾 We’ll drop a visual of the receipts + a photo of the final look in the next slide.
