Our wall kitchen was planned around all its kinks, odd ceiling beams and random depressions that comes with an older HDB flat! We're glad with the amount of counter space we got as we decided not to separate the dining and kitchen space.
Here's a look at the Kitchen before in its original 1980s glory! We decided to keep the layout as we're boring and practical.
Open shelves make appliances accessible! We had no space for ceiling fans so we got an old school wall fan... which is kinda ugly but also fits in with the retro exposed pipes.
Decor tip: Instead of buying decor for your kitchen, replace with pretty home appliances! That way you save space but still have function items adding flare :) My ID gave this salt and pepper grinder which is on display always and often used for cooking!
Kitchen organisation tip: drawers drawers drawers! Ditch cabinets, and having to reach in to grab stuff that will most likely be forgotten from the time you move in to when you move out.
We love our toaster that specialises in toasting bread but also functions as a normal toaster. It's pretty yet functional as we don't have to use our big oven for everything.

We utilized a random kink in the wall and managed to fit a decent sized sink! We got all our wet fittings from PH Bathroom in Geylang - cheap and good
Our cloud night light we installed at our sink which brings cheer to those who do dishes
We manage to find space for a mini-island that houses our dishwasher and wine fridge. We even built cabinets for our wine glasses :)
We bought a wine glass hanging rack online and installed it ourselves to our ceiling rack.. saved a lot of money not having to do a custom build.
We managed to fit a 45cm dishwasher (instead of a 60cm one). Dishwashers are a life safer if you like to host!
A 45cm dishwasher can fit a lot! You'll be surprised.
