Today, I'm sharing my Top 5 Taobao Finds! 🛒✨ As someone whose Chinese is... let’s just say not the best, navigating Taobao used to feel like a total minefield. 😅 Thankfully, I had my IDs to help order the things I loved — and now, with Taobao’s English version, it’s so much easier for the rest of us who live in Google Translate! 🙌 With that said, let's get started on the list! 
1. Togo-Inspired Sofas Top of my list — and for good reason. These mid-century modern beauties are every bit the vibe. I love how modular and lightweight they are — easy to shift around, and ridiculously comfy to sink into (getting up is optional). Plus, the low-profile design works wonders in smaller homes. With lower ceilings, this helps the space feel open and airy, instead of visually cluttered by tall, bulky furniture. The ultimate couch potato dream? Absolutely. And worth the one month long wait to receive them from Taobao. Haha! 
2. Fluted Wood Paneled TV Console What a great find this was! This TV console adds instant texture and warmth to my space. The fluted wood detailing channels that textured Japandi vibe — subtle enough to blend in, yet striking enough to feel curated and intentional. I love how it grounds the living room without feeling bulky, and offers hidden storage for all the unsightly bits (think: remotes, tangled wires, random clutter) — while still allowing your remotes to work through the slatted front. And the best part? The back can be custom-cut to discreetly tuck away TV sockets and switches. A total game-changer for that clean, minimalist look. Bonus? 3. Designer-Style Shoe Cabinet 👟🧺 This was such an awesome find! I needed a shoe cabinet that looked good — and came with drawers. Because let’s be real: we don’t just need a place for shoes at the door. We need storage for socks, tissues, masks, sanitisers… all the little things that make leaving the house smoother. What sealed the deal? The textured cabinet doors. They add just the right touch of warmth and design — making the entryway feel styled, not just functional. Bonus points: it fits perfectly under my window and doubles as a display ledge for perfumes, bracelets, or whatever I need within reach. 
4. Wooden Vanity Table with LED Lit Mirror My must-haves were simple — but took me awhile to find to perfect one. First, I wanted a loose-standing vanity (not built-in), so I could swap it out in the future if my taste changes or if wear and tear sets in. Second, the mirror had to come with built-in LED lighting — because proper lighting is non-negotiable when you’re up close and personal with your face. And finally, drawers of different sizes were a must — so everything from bulky hair tools to tiny beauty essentials would have a proper organised home. Sleek, practical, and future-proof. This vanity nailed the brief for me! 
5. Mid-Century Modern Designer Dining Chair 🪑✨ Special Mention Of all the dining chairs I’ve bought, this one’s my favourite Taobao gem. What I loved most? The metal support for the backrest wasn’t just functional — it was beautifully intentional.
