Tips to effectively enlarge your living space with the balcony

Welcome to our balcony! As you can see, we have a huge space in our balcony. We racked our brains hard to ensure that this space does not go to waste. In this post, we will be sharing tips to effectively enlarge your living space - by extending it into the balcony!
Tip 1: Get nice looking balcony furniture. Think of your balcony as part of your home and living space. Match it to your living space! As you can see here, we purchased beautiful chairs and tables, and even decorated with faux flowers.
Tip 2: Install a ceiling fan You want guests to feel comfortable even in the balcony! And part of it means having sufficient air flow - super important in Singapore's humid climate.
Tip 3. Install a Ziptrack I would say this is a total game changer. When you wind down the zip track, it changes the whole look!
Here, we can see the zip track is rolled all the way down. This way, the balcony feels like it is enclosed.
It looks like it is part of the living room! (P.S check out my other posts for more on the living room)
The zip track also retains the air conditioning in the living room very well.

Tip 4. provide guests with balcony slippers. realistically, you are not gonna wash your balcony all the time. provide guests with balcony slippers so that they don't get their feet dirty!
Tip 5: get additional chairs. We got these foldable chairs that can be taken out whenever we have more guests over!
