Things We Caught During and After Reno
Looking back during our renovation period, kinda glad we were very kaypoh and keep going in every week to take a look because there were some things we caught early and avoided disappointment! Key takeaway: Monitor your own reno. Don't be afraid to insist on what you want. Never ask never know. Saved the best for the last hehe 
1. We wanted 1 piece mirror but got convinced it was safer to install 2. but the contractors couldn't align the pieces together so I can't even see my face if I stood in the middle hahaha 
2. Wished we discussed about where the hole would be cut in the partition because the height was somewhere in the middle that we couldn't have our powerpoint plugs above them (would be peeping out above the TV console!) We asked the electrician to shift it to the side instead so that it would be hidden and less stress on our plugs and wires in the long term 
4. It's not obvious in the picture but from my not so tall height (159cm) i can see the gap super clearly so we got them to fix it. Easy fix! Don't live with what you don't want to! 
5. Our infamous curved carpentry in the master bedroom was perfect. Installed right beside the aircon and had like 0.5mm gap. The door could still open perfectly but few weeks after moving in, the carpentry curve unfolded abit (curve carpentry is formed via a mould (?) so it may not stay as curved as when you first install it) and we ended up not being able to open that cabinet lol. Thankfully our ID and her carpenters came up with a solution and we are still using the space very well now!
