Yes, built-in cabinets look sleek. But when you want to repaint in year 5, the painter will look at your walls like a surgeon looking at a patient who swallowed Lego. 
Remodeling Rule #1: Protect your peace. 🧘♂️ When the painter casually asked, "How perfectly do you need me to paint within the lines?" my soul briefly left my body. I knew right then I’d be staring at slight paint patches for the next few years. Plan your carpentry, really carefully

The Aircon Regret: Why was past-me so cheap? 🤦♂️❄️ I skipped installing aircon in the living room as i was running out of budget, and now I’m regretting it hard. Retrofitting it today means running ugly trunking and pipes all over the house, completely destroying the aesthetic. Guess I’ll just stick to dropping ice cubes everywhere during the warm days. 🧊🌡️ 
And for the love of all things, set up a water point for your robot cleaner. Future you does NOT want to be manually refilling a robot's water tank like some kind of butler to a it.
