The First Piece That Defined My Japandi-Inspired Home

Before I figured out paint colours or tile choices, I knew one thing for sure — I wanted these togo sofas. I had seen them on some of my favourite IG home accounts and couldn’t stop thinking about them. They weren’t exactly "Japandi", rather, more mid-century modern. But something about their shape and warmth just stuck with me. So I made the call even before I confirmed my ID of choice — these would be the first pieces I’d buy. 
My flat isn’t huge. The ceilings are low, and the space is long and narrow — so I needed something low-set, cosy, and easy to move around. These ticked every box. And even though they weren’t the most obvious fit for a Japandi space, they felt right for my home. 
What I love most is how flexible they are. I can shift them around depending on my mood or how I want the space to feel that day. Movie night? Reading corner? Guest hangout? These sofas just work. 
They’re incredibly comfortable — the kind of seat people sink into and never want to leave! Funny how just one piece can kickstart an entire home design. ❤️
