Welcome to our two bathrooms! Gotta love a good private shower and me-time in here, so both our bathrooms have been designed with comfort in mind, albeit with different style choices in each.
Common bathroom
We had to work with the small space in the common bathroom to make it functional while not too squeezy, hence a half wall half glass set up in the shower, which is also demarcated by a different set of tiles from the rest of the bathroom.
The main floor and bottom half of the wall is decked with wood-like tiles to create the warm Japanese feel, and for the top half of the walls we decided to go with a more unconventional choice — sesame textured black and blue kitkat tiles! We love how the combination turned out - it gives “comforting but a bit eclectic”.
We also added our own touch with a framed 1,000 piece puzzle we completed recently! We love how these add a pop of colour and playfulness while our guests take a 💩.
Master bathroom
Our master bathroom is designed with a more luxe feel, thanks to the combination of marble-like tiles in both light and dark to demarcate the shower and sink areas.
To make it more visually interesting, we added a textured subway tile at the top half of the wall, which features rugged sides and vertical lines in the concave centre — we fell in love with these tiles when we saw them in our ID’s studio! Don’t you think it makes the space look so much more captivating? 🤭
Because this is the toilet that we’ll utilise the most, our ID included extensive carpentry including a mirror cupboard with plenty of storage, and extended open shelving all the way across the wall.
And that’s it! I think we’ve shown most of our house by now - do take a look at our other posts to see the other spaces in our home for inspiration! 😊
