Hello and welcome back to another post from @_nullhaus! Today, we're giving you a sneak peek into our zero built-ins Master Bedroom—or as I like to call it, our in-home Ikea showroom.
  • Storage, Style, and Simplicity: The Story of Our Master Bedroom Design
Since we relocated all our wardrobe needs to the second room, we’ve freed up the space in our master bedroom, keeping it purely for relaxing and sleeping. Our trusty FourStar storage bed offers ample hidden storage for items we seldom use—out of sight, out of mind. And if you’ve noticed, we painted the legs of our Ikea bedside tables black to create the illusion of the drawers floating—adding a nice touch of depth to the space!

We opted for loose furniture over built-ins to maintain flexibility, allowing us to rearrange the layout as our needs evolve over time. Now, only the essentials, like our hairdryer, remain here—keeping the room uncluttered and focused on its purpose.

While we’ve heard that ceiling fans are considered a feng shui no-go, we’re glad we positioned ours toward the foot of the bed rather than directly overhead. It’s such a simple convenience, but it makes winding down that much easier.

As for the master bedroom bathroom? We are glad it’s positioned at the foot of the bed—but more on that in our next post! A gentle tip for new homeowners or those embarking on renovations: Don’t shy away from asking loads of questions and sharing your inspiration and mood boards with your ID. It’s always better to over-communicate your vision to ensure every detail aligns with your needs!
