Our best home investment would have to be the curtains and blinds because they elevate the cosy vibes of our space! We got day curtains in our living room in s-fold style, which I feel looks more elegant because it falls uniformly. It costs more for s-fold due to more cloth required, but it's worth it! Look at the perfect folds and how neat it looks when drawn! In the study, TOSO aluminum blinds were chosen for aesthetics. It provides a contemporary feel and I love that it comes in a beige tone that brings such warmth to the room! I'd consider this a splurge as there are cheaper venetian blinds options out there. But no regrets as I like the sleeker look of aluminum blinds and the quality of these made-in-Japan blinds are good! I was afraid that having curtains in the living room and blinds in the study would not match visually, considering our open concept space. But I think it turned out well in the end as their colours match! Having blinds in the study is a more practical choice due to its shorter length. We could potentially place a cabinet below the window, which full-length curtains would not allow. The same blinds are used in our bedroom as well. I enjoy looking at the patterns the morning sun casts on the wall as it beams through the gaps in the blinds :)
