Welcome back in! This week we'll be introducing our favourite view of our home - the Entryway. This space truly sums up Coastal Farmhouse style, texture and colours. It is also one of our top 3 most expensive space in terms of renovation costs, but no regrets for sure!

The reason for its costs is because we: 1) Fabricated a corner carpentry + settee 2) Built a partition wall to "narrow" the entrance to Kitchen as HDB had provided more than sufficient space 3) Added Shaker style laminate + Settee back details 4) Fabricated half glass kitchen door with shaker details Shaker style laminate was definitely one of the costs we could have easily cut but G & I agreed we'll only invest in having Shaker details in the common areas - Entryway & Dining, as those were key elements to our Coastal Farmhouse theme.

This is the full view upon entering, where we're greeted with nice curved walls and our travel photo frames. We did contemplated whether to display decorative items on the Arch wall and side table but eventually decided otherwise as we wanted our home to feel more homely upon entering.

If you had came from our previous posts, you would have noticed how much we love to maximise walking space. Look at the huge space available upon entering! Many of our guests have also commented how our 4-room BTO feels very spacious and we love it!

We also did not opt for fancy lights as we didn't do any false ceiling or any sorts since we wanted our home to be as low maintenance as possible. The only light that I was very adamant about was this wall ball light which I've searched high and low for! Though we don't actually switch it on, don't you agree it's a great addition to soften this space?!
