Drawing from our travels and the quiet beauty of simplicity and slow living, we leaned towards the palette of natural materials like oak wood, complemented by the soft light and greenery around our neighbourhood.

We couldn’t decide between a round or rectangle dining table. So this settles it! This configuration is perfect for hosting big group of friends and family. The dining table is also set against our main structure/pillar, contrasted with a limewash finishing.
We love collecting handmade homewares from our travels, so we knew we had to carve out a space that showcases our growing collection. The built-in cabinet doubles up as a dry pantry for coffee and tea.
Wares from D&Department
We wanted to create a cozy environment that lightens up our work from home days. To create a consistent palette, we selected movable furnitures that has a similar oak-palette.
As creatives, we love collecting and referencing interesting books for inspiration - fiction, non-fiction, art books, graphic design, illustrations, magazines. This MUJI bookcase is perfect to house our collection due to its flexibility for any configuration.
Being the closest room to the living, we hacked the walls and replaced with glass dividers to bring in more light. The wooden ledge houses some of our gachapon knick knacks. Spot how we turned the bomb shelter into J’s man-cave.
A mini gallery room that houses our art collection. We decided to keep it open and furniture free to expand the possibilities - tea ceremonies, yoga or workout sesh.
Since we had to sacrifice our storeroom for J’s mancave, we demarcated an area of this room for storage. We kept it neat with MUJI’s stainless steel rack system and storage boxes.
This pre-fabricated kitchen countertop that our ID customised for us made the best out of our small kitchen area. The full stainless steel surface and backsplash also made cleaning a tad easier!
One of our favourite part of the countertop was also the seamless built-in sink. The depth made it great for washing of large pots and pans.
Through our ID, we also ordered a couple more modular furniture for extra storage — Pittana floating shelf for J’s drinks collection and Pittara dry kitchen cabinet for more kitchen appliances storage.

We kept our master bedroom relatively simple and fuss-free with only moveable furniture. The room sits well with a king-sized bed for two.
We opted for these Japanese tiles and beige tiles to coincide with the limewash finishing.
