We hacked away the service yard windows to open up the kitchen space.
As mentioned previously, we did an L-shape bottom cabinet and floating plank. At this corner, we also keep our glasses and cups above so that its easy to retrieve, wash and use them!
Much further in, we have a dishwasher under the countertop. It shares the same water inlet/outlet point with our main sink.
For the countertop area, we have added a dustbin to allow us to easily prep food by the sink area. There are also extra sockets here to use any kitchen appliances like airfryer, slow cooker, etc if needed.
We also use the area nearer to the window for laundry or to airdry pails or other cooking utensils. But tbh we seldom fold our laundry here as we tend to bring them into the room to fold.
We purposely did a swing door cut-out to allow us to easily drop our dirty laundry into the laundry basket inside the cabinet. Before washing, we can open the cabinet door as usual to remove the entire laundry basket. We find this idea really convenient!
On the other side, we have a tall unit carpentry to cover the pipes. The front portion comes with shelves as storage space, I love this as I can just dump all the household cleaning and laundry products here.
Then we have the LG wash tower, it is so compact compared to having 2 separate washer dryer stacked up.
We still installed a Steigen (in blush pink 🥰) to allow us to dry clothes if it is not a full load. We can also hang worn clothes or cloths etc here to air dry. The only down-side is we can’t extend the poles fully due to the washer at one side, so it is hard to dry big items like bedsheets and we will definitely have to use the dryer for those.
We also have a 60L storage heater from AOSbath hidden behind the beam, so its not obvious from the living area. We extended hot water pipes to our Rigel kitchen and toilet taps since they come with hot/cold function. This is convenient when we want to use hot water to soak/wash something.
