Every home has its pros and cons & we will share some of our reno regrets we had 😱.
One of the reno regret is our pebbled foyer. After moving in, some pebbles started coming loose due to heavy foot traffic. Moving furniture and bulky items in and out also became a bit of a challenge.
On top of that, the area tends to get dusty and not the easiest to clean and vacuum. Though aesthetically pleasing, it's definitely something to consider before choosing this design!
Next one is our masterbedroom toilet tiles. The mosaic tiles requires more maintenance to keep it sparkly. More grout = more cleaning!
It can be a tedious job to frequently wash and wipe it clean after shower.
Tips: choose large format tiles as there will be lesser grout and hence less cleaning required.
Our open-concept kitchen makes the entire home feels wide and spacious. With fewer cabinets, the space looks cleaner and less cluttered or so we thought!
However, in hindsight, fewer cabinets also mean less storage space — and we’re definitely feeling it now🥲
So do plan wisely: **aesthetic vs practicality**. Finding the right balance is key. ✨
Our window grilles are a combination of traditional and invisible grilles.
What we love about the invisible grille is that it does not block the view or feel bulky, yet still gives us a sense of security.
However, the downside is that invisible grilles are fixed, which makes cleaning the exterior windows way more challenging—especially those facing outside.
So do consider carefully before deciding—each option comes with its own pros and cons.
