Now that we’ve been using these spaces daily, here are the little hits we absolutely love — and the regrets we wish we had caught earlier! ✅ Reno Hits Hit #1 — LED Strip Along the Stove & Sink Installing LED strips under the kitchen cabinets was one of the best decisions — bright, shadow-free lighting makes cooking and washing so much easier. Hit #2 — Front-Facing Faucet Handle We positioned the faucet handle facing forward instead of the side — prevents water splashing onto the counter when turning the tap on/off. Small detail, big impact. Hit #3 — More Drawers for Storage Choosing more drawers instead of shelves. Easy access, better organisation, no digging around. Hit #4 — Blum Runners for Drawers Sturdy, smooth, and soft-closing. Worth every cent for everyday use. Hit #5 — Power Plugs on Both Sides of the Kitchen Extra sockets on each side of the countertop make it easy to plug in appliances when needed — blender, juicer, mixer… no limitations, very practical. Hit #6 — Corner Fan in the Kitchen A lifesaver when cooking and meal prep— keeps the area cool. Hit #7 — Extra Power Socket Near the Dining Table Super useful for steamboat, hotpot, or even charging devices during mealtimes 😆. Hit #8 — Smart Laundry System in Service Yard Installing a smart drying rack made laundry so convenient — height control, lighting, and faster drying all in one. ❌ Reno Regrets Regret #1 — Didn’t Plan Water Inlet/Outlet for Dishwasher We overlooked the plumbing point for a future dishwasher — now adding one would be troublesome or costly. Regret #2 — Not Building a Full-Height Appliance Cabinet We skipped a full height cabinet for appliances and extra storage. Now the counter feels a bit more crowded than we’d like. Little wins that make everyday life smoother, and small regrets that teach us what to improve next time — but overall, still a setup we love 💛✨
