Hello everyone! In today's post, we will share our recent home buys for our place. Ever since owning a house, we developed a lot more interest in styling it.
It's seem a good 8 months or so staying in this house and we have added and replaced some items, along with several nick nacks that complements the place.
Starting off at the entryway, we replaced our old door mat with this adorable and very huat door mat from Hipvan! :D
Very affordable too and brings good fortune to your house! Feng shui always say that wealth flows through your main door, so this is a very appropriate item to place in front of my main door haha!! :D
Next up, we finally settled on a rug for the living room! This has been one of the most challenging purchases so far. We took 2-3 months to look at rugs, feel the texture and material before finally deciding on buying a rug. We had several concerns as well, such as upkeep and maintenance of the rug.
Thankfully, we only need to lightly vacuum from time to time, which we already have a robovacuum and a part time helper that helps out with this.
Here's a closed up shot of the rug. We love the design so much. It reminds us of nature, always be down to earth and rooted.
The material is wool and it feels nice to step on it.
Another thing we have added is this side table from Grey & Sanders.
Previously, we have a side table that we bought from JB, that we have repurposed it as a table for our 3D printer. Due to this, we are left with no coffee table in the living room again.
This new preston C shaped side table is sturdy and aesthetic. Is versatile in function and does not take up a lot of floor space since you can tuck it beneath your sofa if you wish.
Here's how we are using our Preston C shaped side table today! Haha, as plant owners, we try to give our plants sunlight whenever we can!
Tadaaaaaaa~
We now have a full length mirror! This mirror is from, none other than, hipvan!
We find that having a mirror here helps to spruce up this empty space beside out TV console.
Mister love to check himself out before scooting off.
You can mount it on the wall if you want, but we placed ours on the floor, should we wish to shift it to another spot in the house next time.
Lastly, we have a hammock now!!! :D
This is a really fun and interesting addition to the space. When we host our friends and families who brought kids over, they love it so much!
Also, we love to relax in the hammock. We feel so cradled and hugged. There's always an inner child in us, no matter how old we are. It's a great way to relax after coming home from our corporate jobs. You will occasionally find missus here, swinging on the hammock while playing animal crossing on nintendo switch.
That said, these are the new add ons to the space so far. Seems like we only added to the living room and neglected the other areas of the house. Hopefully, we will be able to slowly improve and add on the other areas of the house. By then, we will have another post to share again! :D
