  • Personal Touches: Bringing Warmth to Our Guest Room
Hello, we are KH & MS from @hwashan_, and we’re so glad you’re here with us! Extra rooms are full of potential. They can be anything you want – a guest room, a kids’ space, or even a spot for your hobbies. For us, we wanted a cozy guest room that matched the vibe of our home. We chose a color palette of cream, brown, and soft neutral tones, with hints of green and grey to keep it warm and welcoming. A small faux plant adds a touch of greenery, and the blinds help block the light when someone (we) needs a quick nap. 🌿

Decor-wise, we laughed when ChatGPT roasted us on Instagram for being “Marie Kondo-level organized but with way too many trinkets.” 😂 But we think those little touches make the space feel personal. From a bunny nightlight and Iron Man figurine to small paintings and a caricature from our 2017 trip to Korea, each piece tells a story.

Our tip for new homeowners? Make it personal! Choose colors that set the right mood, add thoughtful details, and don’t worry about having a few extra trinkets that “spark joy.” It’s what makes your home truly yours.
