A mini home tour of ourpokehome, not your usual 4-room HDB flat.
At 83sqm, our HDB BTO is slightly smaller than the typical 4-room (93sqm), but it’s where we’ve created our little cozy home. We believe a home isn’t about size. It’s about how it’s lived in.
For this renovation, we were really particular about how our carpentry will take up the spaces. So we focus a lot on our living room, kitchen and dining area, which we will share more about it later.
Our TV corner. This TV console is made to measure to fit our TV wall and living room perfectly.
It’s a custom piece from Taobao, customized around our space rather than forcing the space to adapt.
We’ll be sharing more details in our next post — stay tuned.
This is our favorite part of the home. Sunday mornings, after work, after dinner, after everything finally slows down.
It’s where we end up without thinking.
No rushing, no plans. Just sitting here, letting the day settle.
This sofa is love a first sight, when we first saw it we knew its the one! We love how everything comes together so naturally, calm, cosy, and very us
We opted for an open kitchen/dining area. We didn’t want a flashy dining space, just one that feels calm, grounded, and easy to live.
It took us awhile to finally found a suitable dining table & chair to match our home laminate. We wanted warm wood, clean lines & table measurement to be 1.6m.
We decided to go with a tall cabinet to hide all our snacks and we love how sleek it looks. And surprisingly the laminate of our carpentry matches our HDB doors
A little sneak peek of our kitchen.
We didn’t love the idea of having top cabinets, they always made the space feel compressed and a little tight. So we chose to go without them, keeping the kitchen open, airy, and simple.
And of course, we got to get the beautiful chimney hood from Bosch that i have always wanted!
That's all for our mini tour, excited to be sharing more on here!
