🧺 Our (very) unconventional service yard!

This was how the area looked when we first collected our keys! I’d say it looks completely unrecognisable now 😅 This was the only wall we hacked in our house, because we really wanted to embrace the idea of a fully open concept kitchen / dining area. This was how it looked with the wall hacked! I am bad with visualisation so I just had to learn to ~trust the process~ because let’s be real, it didn’t look too promising at this stage…. Things looked a lot better once the tiles were laid! Our tiles are from Hafary and I think we spent a good 5 hours picking out the tiles for the whole house. Time consuming but worth it when we receive compliments from our guests! 🤭 Our (almost) finished service yard, with the Steigen and windows installed. I was excitedly looking for IKEA shelves so that we could place laundry essentials on the left wall, but the husband had other plans…. For context, the husband LOVES cold plunging, and used to spend quite a bit on monthly memberships for cold plunge studios. So when we finally got our own place, he reallyyy wanted a cold plunge tub of his own. It turned out to be a really good investment! He plunges daily for about 10 mins each time, while I plunge around 3x a week for about 5 mins each time. It has been great for muscle recovery, and stress relief after a hectic day of work!
