Since we've knocked down the wall between BR2 and MBR, we have some extra space in our MBR and we converted the end of the MBR into a small recreational balcony-like corner for us to chill. Will probably get a beanbag to put here soon! This is the day look... ...and the night look. This is how we've created this area - there was a structural wall that we can't knock down so we used that as a demarcation to create our own balcony-like area. Here's a wide angle view that shows this area more clearly! We went with black border tiles and peranakan tiles for this area for a more colonial look - these are also the same tiles we used in our living room. We went with bamboo blinds in this room to give a faux outdoors vibe. Heard this can be quite hard to maintain, but really love the look! We always wanted a high table with high chairs for us to sit down, take a break and have a nice drink, but we couldn't do it in our kitchen because of space constraints. So we decided to have a high table (with raw edges) here instead. At the other end of the room, we added a pendant light to create a cozy atmosphere. How it looks like when the lights is turned on :) Really like how the light hits the faux plant during evening time. We unexpectedly ended up liking this area more and more overtime. A close up shot of the tiles we used - they are all from Hafary and we are glad that this combination turned out well!
