Our Thrifted Jungle Entryway: A Plant Daddy Portal To Our Home
3479
Welcome to our mini forest entrance! 🌿 One of our favourite spots at home is this vertical garden entryway, lovingly put together by our housemate with the greenest fingers of us all. It’s our little slice of calm, framing the gate like a leafy portal to Narnia 🪴✨ A little shoe bench on the left makes slipping shoes on and off a breeze, while keeping everything to the edges helps the entryway feel open and tidy. Since we’re renting, this setup is the perfect way to make the space feel like home, bonus points for our thrifted white IKEA shelf that gives the plants the perfect perch! 🌱✨ Open the gates and you’re welcomed by wide open spaces flowing into our living room. Everything you see here is either thrifted or free, a true labor of love that brought our mid-century modern dreams to life. We especially love our 3-tiered wooden shelf, rescued from the recycling bin downstairs and revived with a fresh coat of varnish. One person’s trash, another’s perfect statement piece! ♻️🌿 You’re greeted by this view after the gate? Now that’s a welcome 😍🚪 This is also another thrifted favourite of ours, the Eames inspired lounge chair for only $80 (vs $1500+?!) Our housemate’s a corporate boy by day, and a devoted plant daddy by night — keeping our little jungle thriving one leaf at a time 🌿💼🌙 From this corner, you get a little peek of our living room too!
