Hello once again and welcome to our home office!👋🏻 We run our own photography/videography business and this is where all the editing magic happens.🤭 As our home is a DBSS, the flooring and wardrobe carpentry came with the house. All other items added are loose furniture so we can be flexible and change our layout whenever we want. This is our current layout that we love hehe. Let’s see how I styled this room bit by bit to make it into the home office that my boss (husband) use everyday. Now that I think about it, I should have charged him for my styling “expertise”.🤔 Previously our home office was in the other spare room but boss liked the view from this room better so he requested that we changed his work room to this room instead. So we started out with this bare room. Got the rug first because I love how a good rug cosies up the room. Next came the ikea shelf where we’re gonna store our cameras and other gears in. All stuffed away nicely in these baskets, also from Ikea haha. By now you know that we love Ikea!😂 And no prizes for guessing the name of our business hahaha. We’re called Heart To Heart Stories, you can follow us on ig @hearttoheartstories to see our daily shenanigans and see what we get up to for work.🤭❤️ This room became our cats’ playroom before we shifted the office table in.😆 Our cats have become our mascots for our brand.🌚🌝 We have had some of our clients come over to our place just to see them hahaha. Changed the items around until I found a combination that I liked.🤭 So homeowners, don’t be afraid to experiment and play with whatever you have at home. Different combinations can change the feel of the room.🫶🏻 Love this lamp and how it ties it all together for this side of the room.🥹 A wider view of this side of our home office. Now on to the other side of the office. The boss/husband is a messy worker while I’m more of a neat and tidy person. He doesn’t like it when I tidy up for him because he likes his organised chaos and complains that he can’t find things if it’s too tidy (what logic is this?!). So anyway, I tried to help him by spamming baskets and trays and small holders to keep things tidier. Happy to say that he utilises them very well so mission accomplished haha.👍🏻 We also have many mirrors in the room because we want to reflect as much “huat” to the work desk as possible.😂 Thankful that it seems to be working so far hehehe. Some items on display on the shelf above the work desk to keep ourselves grounded and to remind us what we’re working hard for (it’s to feed our cats and give them a good life🥲). Shifted our customised neon signboard of our business to this wall next to the work desk. Our office view on normal days hahaha. 😂 A full view of the working desk. We’ve created so many stories, laughed and cried for most of them, and finished plenty of interesting projects here in this room.🥹 It really is the space that we craft all our work in.🫶🏻 On to the side of the window we have this little bench that our fur babies or me sit at to accompany the mister hard at work. It’s also a nice spot to sit and look down at the garden below us.😌 We’ve come to the end of our home office/study room tour. Thank you for reading to the end!🫶🏻 As usual, bonus photo of fur babies hehe. We did this mini family photoshoot of us by ourselves to document the shifting of the office space from one room to another hahaha. Gotta celebrate every small win am I right?!😉 Thanks for reading and see you next week!❤️
