We have finally come to our reno non-regrets. Only sharing the practical ones here, of cos there are other items which are non-regrets simply cos they look good 🤭
First one is definitely hacking our 3rd bedroom. Otherwise the living room is really soooo small
Doing some storage space here!! Not only can we keep our shoes on the lower shelves, we also use the top shelves for all sorts of miscellaneous stuff.
From random products manual we don’t dare to throw, to extra screws (don’t even know from what item), to recyclable bags, to our measuring tape from reno days and the list goes on.
Another hacking item - hacking down our service yard windows. Some say smell will get to your clothes when cooking as its open concept. I think it just comes down to your living habits.
For us, we tend to wash our clothes near end of week on Thurs night/Fri and usually we don’t cook dinner on Fri as we will likely be back to parent’s place. 3-6 hours on the Steigen is enough and by the next day, the clothes can be kept so we can resume cooking on the weekends!
Our huge island and having a secondary sink + water dispenser there, period. Not having to keep boiling water is really great, and being able to use another sink when someone else is using.
The open niche on our wardrobe to hang/airdry our worn clothes and towels. Cos sometimes you are just lazy to walk all the way to Steigen at the service yard 🥲
The floating plank under our sink. Not only aesthetic, this also keeps it airy and prevent any dampness/smell unlike those closed cabinets, while still allowing you to store things. Of cos aesthetics would be compromised a bit if you place too many things there but still acceptable to us!
